Always a love for woodworking and admiring the beauty of various types of wood led me to enjoy creating charcuterie boards. The boards have the “live” trees edge on each side of the board. Boards are made of cedar, red oak, cypress and other types of wood.
Q. What oil is used on the boards and is it safe to serve food on it?
A. Watco food-grade butcher block oil is used on all boards.
Q. How do I clean my board?
A. Mild soap, rinse and dry immediately. Do not put board in dishwasher or submerge in water,
Q. Where can i buy more of the oil used on the boards?
A. Product used on boards is Watco and is sold at Lowes.
Q. What food are ok to serve on the board?
A Anything cool or room temperature. Do not put hot items on the board.!
Q. Can i hand the Charcuterie boards?
A. Some boards already have holes drilled in handles. You can drill a hole in any board if you like.
Q. What type of wood are the boards made of?
A. Most boards are made of Cedar, but some are made of Cypress and some of Red Oak.
Q. How thick are the board?
A. Varies. Normally between 3/4" and an inch.
Q. Is it ok to cut on the boards?
A. NO. The boards may scar if a knife is used on them. Keep knives away from the boards.
Q. Is delivery available?
A. At this time local door drop off or meet up is available. Please ask if you would like a board shipped to you.
